Today, the Governor's office announced that the state's 9-1-1 system is being overtaxed by non-emergency calls related to COVID-19 and that moving forward, NC 2-1-1 will serve as the number to call for health and human service resources. 

Community members interested in receiving periodic text updates during the crisis are asked to text covidnc to 898211.

We are fortunate here at United Way. We get to see people at their best; we see them when they are raising their hands and saying “pick me, I’m ready to help”. We might only know these people for a short time while others say “yes” so many times that they become a part of our family.
