OnTrack Financial & Counseling: On Track WNC Financial Education & Counseling is a community supported nonprofit that offers financial education, counseling and support to individuals in Western North Carolina. Pisgah Legal Services: Pisgah Legal Services is a nonprofit that provides free civil legal aid to the most vulnerable people living in Western North Carolina, including disadvantaged children, seniors, at-risk families & domestic violence victims. Every year, this organization helps thousands of people living on a low income secure safe and affordable housing. YWCA: Getting Ahead in a Just Getting By World: “Poverty is not just money. There are a lot of areas that impact poverty like health, spirituality, relationships, and transportation. We look at all those areas and make Resource Building Plans to improve their lives. Participants are given 18 months of follow up, during which time I am available to help them access resources they need,” former Women’s Empowerment Director Ami Irish Greene in an interview with Katie Latino for Tzedek Social Justice Fellowship. The Mediation Center helps individuals, youth, families, and community groups find workable solutions.
