If you are detail-oriented, are knowledgeable of accounting systems and processes, have a coaching mindset, take initiative, and are analytically driven to solve complex issues, then United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County (UWABC) is where you want to be. The Senior Finance Manager is part of the Finance and Operations team, and must enjoy coaching, developing and/or maintaining processes, and utilizing data while holding true to UWABC’s long-term strategic vision.
Position is responsible for leading all day-to-day accounting operations, with functional responsibility for accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and grants administration. Responsibilities also include production of financial reports; proper maintenance of accounting records; accurate processing of financial transactions; and administration of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the organization’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), adhere to grants management standards, and result in acceptable audits.

- Salary and Benefits: $60,000 - $65,000 annually plus full benefits, including paid vacation, sick and personal leave; employer contributions to 401(k), contributions to health, dental and vision insurance benefits and self-care fund, life and disability insurance, and coaching and support.
